Kyrl’s Quay

Kyrl’s Quay is one of the most underused and neglected quays in Cork. It deserves better, mostly because it was here that Tanora, the popular drink amongst Corkonians, was first intorduced to the city by John Daly & Co in the 1930s!

There isn’t much to do or look at here. The main features of the Quay are a rundown vacant site at the end of Cornmarket St and the back of the now-closed supermarket. Our hope with this project is to bring some pride back to this area through some guerilla gardening and a community street art project.

*Art Mural still in progress!
